Service

Service is one of the tools of recovery and we have a few suggestions how you can be of service.  The first is that you talk to your sponsor about it. 

When you go to a meeting share that you are looking for a service position.  When you put your name and phone number on a phone list you are inviting other OA members to call you, and that is being of service.  Talking with a newcomer or someone who just needs to chat with a friendly person is also being of service. 

The Intergroup can always use more help.  See if any of your meetings need an Intergroup Representative, or just go on your own.  The Intergroup meets the 3rd Saturday of each month at 9:00 am.  Click here for the address and a map.
